Issuance of airline tickets

emision de billetes aereos

What is stated in this royal decree significantly simplifies the issuance of airline tickets, as from now on there is no need to attach any document to the ticket's accounting coupon that is issued.

The 75% discount will be applied directly to the ticket, after a thorough verification of the passenger's data and documentation.

The following codes will continue to appear in the FAREBASIS:

• RC: (Resident of the Canary Islands).

• BP: (Resident of the Balearic Islands).

• RM: (Resident of Ceuta or Melilla).

• BI: (For internal flights within the Balearic Islands).

• DC: (For internal flights within the Canary Islands).

In accordance with the Royal Decree for the residents' discount, the system has been adapted to carry out the verifications required by the R.D. itself.

FARE BASIS:

When the TKT DESIGNATOR of a FAREBASIS includes any of the authorized codes for the residents' discount:

• RC-DC-BP-BI-RM

The system will not allow the issuance of the ticket if an FD field is not included in the PNR.

FD for residents:

There are five types of resident discount codes: RM-RC-DC-BP-BI.

• These discounts are not combinable with each other. They are cumulative with the codes CH-ZZ-ZN-BO and IN.

• The validation of these combinations is done from the FAREQUOTE at the time of PRICING FXP.

The discount codes are accompanied by data that identifies the passenger's identity as follows:

Process:

Issuance of airline tickets

When sending the FD transaction, the system checks the format and if it is incorrect, the response is INVALID FORMAT:

• If the discount code is not valid: INVALID RESIDENT DISCOUNT CODE

If the passenger type is incorrect: INVALID PASSENGER TYPE CODE

• Municipal codes are stored in the central system.

• If an incorrect one is entered: INVALID FORMAT - CHECK ZIP CODE

Before the FXP, the FD transaction(s) must be done.

With the FD transaction, when doing FXP, the system creates the TST (Ticket Service Table) with the corresponding discount code in the FAREBASIS and with the discount applied.

If the discount code does not correspond to the points of the itinerary (for example, a BP code on a MADLPA segment), the system creates the TST with the full fare and without applying the discount.

Issuance of airline tickets

In the case of manual TST creation, the discount code must be separated as follows:

Two-character fare basis codes: The resident discount code will be separated by two spaces. Eg. TTI/BCD RD

• Fare basis codes of more than two characters: The resident discount code will be separated by one space. Eg. TTI/BCDCH RC

When giving the issuance command TTP/passenger number:

• The system checks that the resident code is only applicable for issuances in Spain and domestic routes.

An SSR CKIN is automatically created, which goes directly to the history of the Amadeus PNR and to the RESIBER PNR so that the documentation can be checked at CHECKIN.
