We are sharing the following flexibility measures due to the train accident in Andalusia for flights to and from Andalusia, in order to support any measures to facilitate travel between the different Andalusian cities and the rest of our network, as well as the cancellation of some events.

 

Given the problems on the railway line, those who have difficulty travelling normally may request a change of dates or a refund voucher for their tickets.

 

In addition, we would like to inform you of the exceptional measures we are implementing to facilitate passenger mobility on routes to and from Andalusia.

 

This afternoon, Iberia added more flights to its operations in Andalusia until 2 February. From today, Tuesday, until Monday, 2 February, there will be one additional daily flight in each direction between Madrid and Seville, and another between Madrid and Malaga.

 

Iberia Express will also operate an extra flight between Madrid and Seville on 27, 28, 29 and 31 January and 1 February.

 

In addition, the capacity of the aircraft operating the route to Seville has been increased. An A321 model will be used instead of an A320.

 

Iberia is thus offering 15,386 additional seats until 2 February, bringing the total to 36,120 seats, an increase of 66%.

 

Maximum prices of €99

 

Iberia will maintain the maximum price limit for each journey until at least Monday 2 February. The price is capped at €99 per journey in economy class, which is a reduction from the €150 cap set yesterday.

 

Iberia reiterates its condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to all those injured in Sunday's train accident in Adamuz (Córdoba).
