From 29 March 2026, Iberia will launch a daily flight between Madrid and Newark Liberty International Airport. This new route complements the two daily flights that the company already operates to John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Newark is a strategic addition that provides quick access to Manhattan, expanding options for travellers and improving the experience for leisure and business customers. In addition, we are increasing capacity between Madrid and New York by 40% during the summer season.

This route will be operated with the A321XLR, a model that Iberia was the launch airline for and the most efficient in our fleet for transatlantic routes. A single-aisle aircraft, it offers a premium experience with the new Airspace cabin, LED lighting and two classes: Business and Economy.

Iberia offers ten destinations in the United States and is consolidating its commitment to the North American market with the addition of a daily flight to Newark.

During 2025, Iberia will offer nearly 2 million seats between Spain and the United States and an average of 150 flights per week. For this winter season, the Spanish airline will operate two daily flights to New York and Miami; up to two daily flights to Boston and Puerto Rico, routes that have been reinforced thanks to the arrival of the Airbus A321XLR; and three weekly flights to Washington, which has gone from being an exclusively summer route to operating year-round. The daily flight to Chicago, the four weekly flights to Dallas Fort Worth and Orlando , and the three flights to Los Angeles will also continue. San Francisco is operated as a summer route with three weekly flights from May to September.

This network of direct flights, together with Iberia's joint business agreement for North Atlantic routes with American Airlines, British Airways and Finnair, enables it to offer robust connectivity, 400 destinations in more than 100 countries, and diversified coverage in the United States.
