We are pleased to announce the launch of a new route between Madrid and Monterrey, set to begin operations on June 2, 2026.

This new addition reinforces Iberia’s strong commitment to Mexico, one of the most strategic markets within its global network.

The route will offer three weekly frequencies—on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays—providing greater flexibility and convenience for our customers.

This route will be operated with an Airbus A330-200, a state-of-the-art wide-body aircraft with dual aisles and a capacity for 288 passengers, distributed across Business and Economy cabins.

Iberia flights will depart from Terminal A of Monterrey International Airport.

Strengthening our commitment to Mexico

With this new addition, Iberia will surpass 800,000 available seats between Mexico and Europe in 2026 — an unprecedented figure in Latin America within the airline’s network.

Specifically, the more than 770,000 seats connecting Mexico City and Madrid through three daily flights operated with A350 aircraft will be complemented by an additional 40,000 seats on the Monterrey route during the European summer season (June to October).

Moreover, this new connection will not be limited to the summer: the route will continue operating during the winter season, with the schedule to be announced soon.
