Train&Fly and Bus&Fly
We combine a plane ticket with a train or bus ticket in a single ticket for international travel.
In Iberia we share our marketing code with some Renfe trains and Alsa buses, which will arrive directly at Madrid Airport T4 and connect with medium and long-haul flights. By being considered a connecting passenger, the customer will be covered against possible delays, incidents or missed connections.

In the case of the AVE, a shuttle train will connect Atocha and Chamartín with the airport (included in the price).

Booking procedure
The sections operated by land will be identifiable in the GDS. They will carry the IB flight number and will be issued in connection with international flights operated by Iberia, Iberia Express and Air Nostrum.
Reservations and issuance will be carried out in the same way as for the air segments, and the fare conditions will also be the same as for the air segment.
Train&Fly
The segment operated by Renfe will be shown as an Iberia code, identified as a codeshare flight. The Renfe operator IATA code will be 4R.
For bookings with Renfe legs it will be necessary to enter the following data:
• SSR CTCE with the passenger's e-mail address (one per PNR).
• SSR CTCM with the passenger's contact telephone number (one per PNR).
• SSR FOID NI or PP (one for each adult passenger in the booking).
When booking a reservation on an IB marketing route operated by Renfe, Renfe will confirm the reservation to Iberia by sending a locator and creating one locator per route booked (i.e. on a round-trip PNR, there will be one locator for the outbound and one for the return).
The locator(s) shall be received when the PNR is closed, as an SSR OTHS element. If a PNR is split, the split reservation shall receive a new locator.
To avoid confusion, we advise you to remove the SSR OTHS with the original PNR locator from the active part of the PNR, as the system will not do this automatically.
Bus&Fly
IATA has assigned the following codes to the Alsa bus stations providing this service:
Train&Fly and Bus&Fly
• The overland leg between these points and Madrid will appear in the CRS as a flight of the IB1250-1330, IB2310-2381 and IB2382-2399 series operated by ALSA, which is recognised by IATA as a 5I or 6V carrier.
• In this first phase ALSA will not be able to process bookings with a different point of origin/destination of the bus. For example, it will not be possible to book BUE-MAD-XJJ / XJR -MAD-BUE.
• Pregnant women between 28 and 35 weeks of pregnancy will need a medical certificate to travel on the bus. From the 36th week onwards, they will not be able to travel the overland section on Alsa.
• People with visual or hearing disabilities may travel on the bus with their assistance dog, except to Iberia destinations where travel with animals is restricted.
• Bookings from Peru will not be permitted.
Special Services (SSR)
Important: in this first phase, SSRs must be entered at the time of booking the flights. Any SSR that is not entered in the first input of the PNR creation will not be confirmed by the ALSA system.
