Congestion at Madrid Airport access points

Due to heavy congestion at the access points to Madrid Airport caused by today’s severe rainfall, we are implementing a commercial flexibility policy for Iberia customers holding tickets issued on stock 075 / issue date 060 who may wish to voluntarily adjust their travel plans.

For flights that may be affected by an operational cancellation, the standard policy for such cases will apply.

ADVICE for Iberia 075/060 ticketed customers whose IB flight is still OPERATING

Rebook onto	Iberia
Affected flight/Cities	From Madrid (MAD)
Tickets issued by	5 February 2026
Ticket travel dates	5 February 2026
New travel dates	From 5 February up to February 15 2026
Rebooking Allowance	Rebook into the same class as the original flight or lowest available in the same cabin
Origin/Destination changes	Allow 150 KM. The costs incurred by the change of airport will be at the customer's expense.
Refunds Allowed	Only in Voucher, unless the flight is cancelled, which applies the current policy
Redemptions included	Yes
Important Information	One involuntary ticket change allowed Return/Onward sectors on IB may be rebooked under these guidelines, into the same cabin as original, same class or lowest available For customers on cancelled IB flights, standard Customer Handling Guidelines will apply.
